1200 Screaming Belly Laughing Heebs By Ray Hanania

Nothing makes this crazy comedy trek more rewarding than to see 1,200 Jewish activists at the TIKKUN conference stand up belly laughing after the show in San Francisco. 20 Minutes of smooth rapid fire jokes that the audience couldn't get enough off. Rabbi Lerner is a big supporter. This is the second time he has invited me to perform for one of his very influential Network of Spiritual Progressives in Berkeley.   The trip was a pain. Four hours sitting in a cabin filled with very, very old retirees all going to Honolulu for fun ... okay, their idea of fun, is sitting in a chair wrapped in a towel staring at the sunset. The guy next to me dropped his cup of tomato juice on my lap (not his, my lap). Tomato juice does not make an all black ready-to-perform show outfit look good. I practically had to take a bath in the airport bathroom, like Tom Hanks ... Jeez! And then, Hertz, which reserved a car, can't find me one, all the while trying to get me to triple upgrade to a Cadillac (Pink). And when I finally get to Berkeley, I double park, and run in 10 minutes before they announced my name ... the really fright is that no one ticketed or towed my car the whole time ... I'm moving to this town.
